The Curaçao Good Food list: Restaurants to Dine for

Who doesn’t love a good meal? Going out for dinner is one of my most favorite things to do. In the two years I’ve been living in this Caribbean paradise I’ve tried quite a few bites. Whether you want to taste the best during your travels or rediscover some local gems, this Curaçao Good Food list contains my top 5 must try’s. It would be rude not to share, so here is my list of favorite restaurants on dushi Curaçao.

Mood Beach Curaçao

Mood Beach has it all. From divine cocktails to creative dishes on their menu, it’s always a pleasure going to this restaurant. With their bohemian ambiance & location on the beach, this is a perfect spot to have a romantic dinner for two or just to have a good time.

Personal favorite: the Fruit de Mer. The presentation alone makes it so worth it!

Don’t miss out on their exquisite events, such as Sunset Mood, a Jazz or Blues special or when they have a guest chef.

Read more about the Mood Beach ‘a day at the beach’ experience in my previous Are you in the MOOD? article.

Scuba Lodge

All time favorite! I find myself multiple times a month at this gorgeous location and recommending it to everyone who seeks a place to dine in the Pietermaai District. Hidden behind their cute boutique hotel is their restaurant spot on the beach, filled with palm trees & a marvelous ocean view.

My personal favorite on their menu has to be the fresh fish of the day. Served on a risotto with oyster mushrooms, I can not be happier then when I order one of those.

The most wonderful about Scuba is that it’s an all day goer. Start your day with Pumpkin Pancakes, have a delicious Watermelon salad for lunch, a specialty for dinner or grab a bite & drink whenever in between.

Blessing

Located in a renovated old church, it’s a blessing to have dinner there. Pick a table at their cute patio in front of the building or choose a spot inside.

Favorite thing to order here is their Tour de Blessing. I’m a big fan of shared dining & to try a bit of everything. You get a selection of the chef’s specialties with different bites for starters, mains and if your in for it, dessert. It’s an ongoing changing concept and it never ceases to amaze. A meal here is never the same!

Personal favorite: their Crispy Tuna Maki (as on the picture below).

Zest

I’m going to be fair with you guys. Zest has the best food I’ve had on the island so far. The combination of taste, every bite is a gift and straight out foodporn. Never had I ever such a delightful dinner!

Located at the Jan Thiel Beach, you’re sure to have a wonderful view of the ocean while you dine. We chose to have a 4 course dinner & pairing wine arrangement. As good as the food was, even the wine was to dine for!

Their courses menu changes so now and then and is a great opportunity to try different flavors during your dinner. They are also very specialized in lobster dinners.

Fishalicious

If you’re as much as a fishlover as I am, you’re going to love this place. The name says it al; the fish here is delicious. Located next to downtown Willemstad, in a cute blue building you’ll be sure to taste the best fish on the island.

When you start with oysters, what can go wrong? My favorite dish is their swordfish. They know just how to serve it right!

Get your vitamin Sea while dining in their patio garden or pick a table inside Fishalicous‘ marvelous building.

Dessert tip: their 3 ways of preparing pear is just so so so good!
